Automatic burner control
The automatic burner control units check the functionality of the flame monitoring system every time the burner is started. Furthermore, during the pre-ventilation time and partly also during the burner standstill time, the automatic burner control checks whether so-called extraneous light is present or whether any other defects are simulating a flame although there is none present. Therefore, for safety reasons, extraneous light or feigned flames must lead to malfunction shutdowns or to prevention of starts. The extraneous light test is required by safety regulations.
